Person: Andrea Paoloni was born in Rome, Italy, in 1947 and received the "Doctorate" degree in Electronic Engineering from the University of Rome, in 1973. He has been a Research Fellow of the Fondazione Ugo Bordoni, Rome, were he is now head of the Speech Processing Group. His research activity is in the fields of speech processing, with particular emphasis in speaker recognition and in systems evaluation and he has authored approximately 200 papers in these fields. He has written for the criminal justice system numerous expertise in speaker identification and in authentication of recordings. He was joint lecturer of Electroacoustics and Professor of Phonetic at the Logopedia Course at the Università 'La Sapienza' in Rome. He is also member of the IEEE Society, of the Acoustical Society of America, of the International Speech Communication Association (ISCA) and of ENFSI (European Network of Forensic Science Institutes). He is member of the editorial board of the "Rivista Italiana di Acustica". EAA activity: Relations with industrial partners |
